SPRING
Easter: Celebrate Easter with us starting with a short outdoor sunrise service, held a little after the sun rises at the home of Cindy and Tom Flannigan on Willy Hill Road, followed by an Easter morning brunch downstairs in the church, and our special Easter worship service starting at 9:30 AM with the choir and special musical selections. Programs for children are running during the service, too. Check your calendar for the Easter date for the current year.
Green Up Day: our church starts an early clean up with the Sunday School youth on Sunday, April 7th, meet at the church at 9:30 AM and Jim Heidenreich will lead the ½ hour hike through the woods picking up returnable cans and bottles.
Spring Rummage Sale: we have an annual rummage sale that is sure to tickle your motivation to “hunt for treasure.” It includes clothing, kitchen goods, toys, home décor items and you name it. It’s the talk of the town. Contact Trish Walden for dates and drop off times.
Summer Activities for Youth: Sign up for announcements to see the variety of programs we will feature this summer for your kids.
Thanksgiving Special Joint Service: Three neighborhood churches rotate location and join together in a special time of thanksgiving. We collect food items for our local food shelf sponsored by our local Cub Scouts who attend this service. Fill our baskets with sustainable items.
Fall rummage sale: Stock up on winter clothing and boots for your family. Find a treasure that could make a unique Christmas gift and decorate your home with our vast supply of seasonal décor.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Program 2023 (picture below)
We had a record turnout of 80+ adults and children, the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Every year we celebrate the birth of our Savior with a special evening of music and participation by youth and children, who this year passed out oranges to each child as a symbol of post war poverty and stories our grandparents shared with us. The candlelit singing of “Silent Night” is our traditional send off for our neighbors, friends and family with a spiritual focus for the favorite holiday of the year.
